My husband Donnie and I were both born and raised in Richmond KY. We complement each other in the importance of family which includes pets. We have one daughter and are very involved with our nieces and nephews lives. We have nine dogs, all rescues, and a dog we are fostering. All ten that live in the house include; Trixie, Indiana, Gilbert, Angel, Nash, LilBit, Muffin, Ellie, Gatti, and Gretta. We also have a cat named Bud. Of course, every one of them has a special story. Our vision for Luxury Pet Services is to take compassionate care of your pet and respecting them as part of God’s creation.
I have earned two degrees: Animal Sciences and Environmental Health Science. While learning these degrees, I worked as a vet tech for Richmond Veterinary Clinic. I also showed horses for 25 years. After Luxury Pet Services opened I obtained a grooming certification with 600 hours of training through Nash Academy in Lexington.
Donnie worked as a firefighter for 20 years and is now retired. He is the muscle behind Luxury Pets. He not only is in charge of facility maintenance but is also hands-on in the care of the dogs wherever he is needed. He joins me in our dedication to the lives of pets.
Luxury Pet Services exists to ease your anxiety and give your pet unconditional love. We take the responsibility of caring for pets very seriously. We understand they are members of your family. A statement I have made for years and continue to make often is “animals have a beating heart and blood running through their veins just like we do.” We want to offer your pets compassionate and nurturing care by providing services that are safe and to give our human clients peace of mind.
Our staff spends time interacting with and monitoring the pets to ensure their safety and happiness while they are with us. We make sure all of our friends are in the playgroup that is most suited to their size and personalities. If your pet does not like to interact with other pets, our staff will make sure it receives just as much time and attention. When one of our pets is ill, the staff goes into overdrive to make sure it feels as comfortable as possible while we contact its vet and owners. We strive to keep our facility clean and sanitized. Our mission is simple; whatever is best for the pets that you have entrusted to our care is what we will accomplish.
